A Formal Introduction

Hello. My name is Samuel Giglio IV. You're more than welcome to refer to me as Sammy, or Sam if we're not that friendly.

In the past, I struggled with many things. Going into detail now would defeat at least half the purpose for the reawakening of this blog.

But then, something happened. "...then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed." (Acts 4:10 NIV) Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Father, the triune God of the universe saved me. He healed me. He freed me. Again, I'll save the detail for later.

To my great chagrin, now I struggle with different things, fewer things for certain, but things all the same. Sometimes, they seem even more insurmountable than the previous things. We'll get in depth here also.

My goal is to share my stories of my past struggles, how God delivered me from them, and most importantly for me, share my current struggles with you and use the previous instances of God's saving grace towards me to illustrate, to remind myself, to give hope to you, to help us never forget that He will do it again.

    I hope you'll join me.

My name is Sammy. God has me exactly where He wants me. God, who began a good work in you (and me) will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. His plans are still to prosper. He has not forgotten us.

*Prayer*:  Father, I come to You humbly tonight. Your word says that we triumph over the accuser by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. I pray that You'll place it on all our hearts to fully develop our testimony and to share it with as many people as possible. I know from experience that what I might say is the only way to reach a certain person, and You want to save us all! So my story is important. Father, Your love is fearless. Help us to be courageous. Give me the courage to be an open book, to be the most authentic version of myself. I know that's the only thing that will work. Give me the strength to meditate on the impossible past, to dig through those old wounds. Because I know that for myself, and many others, the best way to understand Your promises for the future is to understand the promises You've already fulfilled. "At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison--that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak." (Col. 4:3-4) Father, You've opened the door! Help me to declare the mystery of Christ clearly, as I ought to speak.
Amen.

"I have no context for this kind of love."
